About the role
Wycliffe Associates is looking for a senior data engineer to design and maintain the data systems behind the tools that accelerate Bible translation worldwide. You'll work alongside a small, mission-driven engineering team where your technical skill directly serves under-resourced language communities.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting translation and ministry tools
- Partner with product and ministry teams to define data models and reporting needs
- Monitor data quality, performance, and security across systems
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern data pipeline tools
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Alignment with Wycliffe Associates' mission and statement of faith
Compensation and benefits
$105,000 – $130,000, plus health, retirement match, and 4 weeks paid leave.
