Overview

What EMQ covers

EMQ is a learning community. Cross-cultural mission workers learn from one another. We examine what happens when people cross cultures for Christ. Whether at home or in another country, no matter the work, EMQ encourages and advises based on real-life experience. Topics include evangelism, discipling, church planting, spirituality, leadership, development, and member care. Application is key as we learn to grow deeper in Christ and build communities of Jesus-followers around the world.

Since 1964

Sixty-two volumes
and counting.

EMQ started in 1963, when a small group of mission leaders talked late into the night at an ice cream shop in Winona Lake, Indiana. The first issue came out in October 1964. Missio Nexus has published it since 2018, and the purpose hasn’t changed: help the mission community learn from each other’s work.
